The National Bureau for Drug Prevention comprises the following departments:

• Department of Prevention and Rehabilitation Tasks,
• Department of Public Education,
  • plans activities in public education stemming from the National Programme for Counteracting Drug Addiction,
  • initiates and coordinates activities connected with launching nationwide informative and educational anti-drug campaigns,
  • cooperates with the media,
  • monitors the nationwide press,
  • edits and publishes a periodical - Serwis Informacyjny. Narkomania,
  • updates database on centres providing assistance to problem drug users,
  • co-finances and professionally consults entities concerned with counteracting drug addiction in terms of public education,
  • commissions production and distribution of free publishing materials.
