The National Bureau for Drug Prevention comprises the following departments:
- Department of Prevention and Rehabilitation Tasks,
- Department of Public Education,
- Autonomous Post on Early Warning System on Drugs,
- National Focal Point,
- collects and disseminates drug-related data,
- initiates and conducts research into drug problem as well as processes and disseminates the results thereof,
- provides professional support to entities conducting drug prevention research,
- prepares annual reports on the implementation of the National Programme of Counteracting Drug Addiction,
- draws conclusions and makes recommendations as to the creation of effective strategies of responding to drug problem,
- submits reports to international organizations,
- acts as Focal Point, cooperates with the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction and the Reitox Network.
