The National Bureau for Drug Prevention comprises the following departments:

• Department of Prevention and Rehabilitation Tasks,
• Department of Public Education,
• Autonomous Post on Early Warning System on Drugs,
• National Focal Point,
  • collects and disseminates drug-related data,
  • initiates and conducts research into drug problem as well as processes and disseminates the results thereof,
  • provides professional support to entities conducting drug prevention research,
  • prepares annual reports on the implementation of the National Programme of Counteracting Drug Addiction,
  • draws conclusions and makes recommendations as to the creation of effective strategies of responding to drug problem,
  • submits reports to international organizations,
  • acts as Focal Point, cooperates with the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction and the Reitox Network.
